Seldom seen package with combination of tile framed as an art object and as produced in the late 19th century ~ Circa 1890. Tile is unmarked, though I believe it to be by J & J G Low of Chelsea, Mass. (I forever consider myself a student of decorative arts; therefore, I invite corrects and intellectual conversations). Regardless of maker, certainly American. Note foundry name is present with debossed initials present in the casting: N.B.&I.W. ~ for National Brass & Iron Works of Reading, Pa. (you often find their easel back mirrors and portrait frames). Forgive the ramblings of this enthused dealer. Overall dimensions: Overall diameter ~ 6 3/4” and Tile diameter is just over 4”. Condition is great accepting of the usual overall crazing to its slip glaze; otherwise, untouched original surface and as manufactured.
