J & JG Low Framed Geisha Girl Tile. This same tile was used in one of Low’s Art Tile Stoves. Both the stove and the tile are relatively scarce. This example is comprised of a simple chamfered edge oak frame with gilt liner containing the geisha girl tile. Outer frame dimensions are 7 3/4” by 9” high while the tile measures approximately 4” by 5”. Presumably marked but we are unwilling to disturb the old thin wood panel that covers the back of the tile. Excepting the usual overall crazing, the condition is excellent and undamaged. A few minor scratches and losses to frame surface consistent with its age and use.
