Carl-Georg von Reichenbach for B. von Poschinger, Zweisel ~ Rare “Byzantine” beaker glass. Colorless / clear body with extensive gold surface and decoration in reddish brown and applied faux amethyst, green and turquoise glass prunts / stones ~ “Batzlen”. The condition is excellent and undamaged; further, the gilt decor is especially crisp accepting a mysterious gray smudge, in the making of, that is located above one of the spread-winged birds. Overall height is 6” with a 4 1/2” diameter upper rim. Note that we are in possession of the matching large jug and a low oblong bowl, which we will add to website soon.
